Ullswater
is England's second largest lake and considered the most beautiful.
It was the inspiration for Wordsworth's poem 'Daffodils'.
The
area is one of great beauty, which is apparent in all seasons, and has
been home to and inspired many artists, historians and poets for at least
tow centuries, including Wordsworth, Ruskin, Coleridge, Beatrix Potter and
Sir Walter Scott. It is also a fitting home for the Golden Eagle,
Red Deer and Red Squirrel and many water birds, making walking and
exploring a great pleasure.
